Old Trafford as it was in 1926. Re-structured after the First World War. The capacity of the stadium at this moment was bigger than Old Trafford can withstand nowadays just because the stadium didn’t have any seats apart from the North Stand (covered)

Capacity: 77,000

In 1955: Old Trafford was re-structured again due to the heavy damage suffered in the Second World War. Here the Man United Board decided to make OT covered from all stands

Capacity: Unchanged

A view from inside Old Trafford in the early 70s. Notice the fencing – installed to avoid crowd disturbances. Also notice that from the corner from where the picture was taken there are no seats because it was a terraced area. This area was later removed to obey the Taylor Report, issued after the Hillsbrough Disaster.

Capacity: 56,000

Aerial view of OT after rebuilding in 1984. Here, it was the beginning of the Old Trafford that we know today

Capacity: 40,000

This is the view of Old Trafford after all the Tiers where refurbished and all the stands had been covered up with the new style of cantilever stands.

Capacity: 40,000 all-seated

Old Trafford, as it looked from an aerial view after the extension of the South Stand (the biggest stand at the moment in Old Trafford) which now can withhold of up to 30,000 seats (nearly half of OT’s capacity)

Capacity: 56,000

This is how Old Trafford looks at the moment after the completion of the second tiers of the East Side and West Side (more known as Stretford End).

Capacity: 68,500
