Carlos Tevez is set to seal a 2 year loan deal, with an option for a further 3 years permanent move afterwards, in the next day or two. It would take Sir Alex's spending to over £70m at an estimate.
Man Utd officials are so keen to tie up the deal quickly that they have flown to Venezuela to get Tevez's medical done while the Copa Amercia's still going on. According to reports West Ham had the option to sign him for £40m but turned the offer down, allowing the owner Kia Joorabchian to begin negotiations with other clubs. Though it will only cost United a loan fee and wages for the first 2 years. Tevez has called it a "dream" to play for United and its not the first time he's made his feelings about Man Utd clear.
